Hi folks, replacement high integrity CU going in. Existing CU has bell transformer and customer wants bell transformer in new CU as well. Question is, what is best position in CU? Dont want to eat up the high integrity positions, so ok to provision in an RCD protected position? I know it's not...

Is there an actual standard relating to 3 Phase DB labeling and numbering.
I always start at the top left, down to the bottom, then top right down to the bottom.
Have recently seen a few done starting at the bottom left then jumping across to the right, which to complicates things a little.

I have a customer who want 3 door bells which are the standard ding dong electro magnet type.I have raised the voltage to compensate but can only get 2 to work.
the trany is a 12Vdc 1A
does any one know if the trany ampage is the disiding factor as the resistance to each bell is 5.25...

I have been asked to install a doorbell system which has 1 door push and 4 chimes
i cant seem to find a suitable system which allows this.
can i use a normal doorbell system and just loop the chimes, but will the transformer be big enough.

To what extent are you supposed to label earth connections?
I usually only put safety electrical connection labels on the points where the earthing is bonded, i.e. on pipes, metal work, etc.
At places like joints between tape and cable and at test points for instance I don't put labels.

new build we done about 6 months ago, had a call to say that the door bell does ding but doesnt dong.... called in today, the chime is 8 - 16v got a 8v tranny which actually gives 10.5v. when push button is pressed the voltage drops to 7.9v but the ding just doesnt sound right...
