Hi
Wondering if anyone can help.....
I have a 20 year old (yep, pretty old!) Neff Circotherm oven which worked perfectly well until last week, when the 13amp wall socket it is wired into "blew" - it tripped the other wall sockets in the kitchen, and resetting the circuit breakers did nothing -...

Can anyone please explain what is the maximum earth fault loop impedance permitted for moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB)?
Also, BS 7671 says a disconnection time of 5 sec is allowed for breakers in distribution circuits. What is the difference between a distribution circuit and final circuit?

They have all disappeared on a recall. But Wylex wont say what the problem is. Nor will they allow you to take back one you have brought. Anyone know more?

Hello everyone,
Just wondering is an Earth leakage circuit breaker exactly the same as an RCD? The reason I ask is that I heard someone mention once that Earth leakage circuit breakers do not work very well. Maybe I heard wrong?

Hi Guys
Just a word of warning to you all. I have been working on an industrial site that has the old style wylex 3-phase DB's (nothing wrong with them). Whilst isolating circuits I have noticed that some MCBS are NOT disconnecting the supply when in the off position . Out of the 20...

Good day,
I hope I am on the right section of this forum.
I have a question regarding AC and DC circuit breakers and how it affects the ARC QUENCHING side of it. I have been on numerous sites and I cannot get a clear answer.
Thanks.
