I am really struggling with the section 7 of the Napit Installation Cert.
The reason is because the demo forms I have filled in during the course and examples elsewhere all seem to contradict eachother and it appears many people can't agree either. So by going through forums and looking at...
Had a job last night upgrading the main earthing conductors to 16mm and replacing a faulty RCCB at clients reuqest (after recommendations from another sparky who carried out an EICR at the shop).
I have replaced RCCB's and RCBO's before an always a bit unsure on what certificate to issue as...
Evening Folks,
I am in a situation where I am compiling certification from several sparks and or sub contractors.
I am looking for a good software that will allow remote recording on a smartphone via an app, or the ability to say transfer a cert from another program such as easycert or kewtech...
Just a quick couple of questions its a Friday and now sitting doing paperwork with a couple of beers.
Im filling in a certificate to cover a consumer unit change and having a mental block.

Why does it try to give you the value of 16KA in the drop down box for prospective fault current. Has anybody else come across this or do they know the reason why? I always put my measured value in but still would like to know the reason they try to give you the above value.
Hi there, just trying to find out some info regarding the issue of a minor works cert.
Having recently completed the 2395 course, I can carry out periodics, but wondered if I can issue a minor works cert or whether I have to wait until I have done my 2394 course ? Many thanks
:)
I know there have been a few threads in the past but thought I would get some current opinions.
At the moment we do all our certs on Niceic pads by hand and it is becoming a pain so I am looking at buying some software as we do a lot of large Ind/commercial eicrs and I am sure there are better...
I have had some work done in our home but is is taking a long time getting the relevant certificates from the electrician.
I eventually received three Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificates covering much of the work. There is however still a significant one missing and I am at a loss...
Hi again
So my Son sent me the attached file as the cert for electrical work and there appears to be something missing or was it so different then? This if for a house he is about to purchase.
Hi all,
I am a tenant in my sister's flat. She is my landlord.
She has her official 'Landlord Gas Certificate', which we get checked annually.
As far as a 'Landlords Electrical Certificate' goes, she did not have one. So we decided to get a registered, reputable local electrician in, to issue...
I wonder if I can have any guidance on this issue. In a commercial building we look after they have the old type of meters to check the usage by the occupiers.
We have been instructed to change them to a "Smart" type of meter which will be connected to our BMS to accurately record usage, peaks...
Quick question,
A friend is selling a house and has been asked to provide a "certificate" for the electrics. I have already asked her to get back in touch with the estate agent and ask exactly what "certificate" they want but I'm guessing an ECIR.
Now she bought the house in 2013 and has had...
Hey guys,
I'm trying to apply for an ecs card but they bounced it back to me as I'm missing a certificate.
I have a certificate for level 3 2330.
I also have a certificate from Summit Skills for Advanced Level Apprenticeship in electrical installation building and structures.
However they...
Hi Guys: Had a call from an old customer, he's bought a flat to rent out & had a Gas fitter in to do safety checks & issue a Landlords certificate. Gas fitter did whatever checks he had to but won't issue the cert as there's apparently no Earth bond to the gas intake.
The customer was then told...
Hi. I'm newly qualified as a domestic installer so well aware I've got a lot to learn about the real world but...
I looked over a friends consumer unit today. It was recently installed by a NICEIC approved spark. I noticed lots that didn't seem right to me, and I'd appreciate some feedback on...
