For people who are not members of NICEIC or Elecsa's various schemes, the current issue of connections magazine has some useful info in it about the changes in the 18th edition.
Some useful bits on how the certificates are changing and other useful sections. The bit on chasing up non payers...
There ha s been some criticism , mostly some gut reactions to how much of a time waste it was, true it was a waste of time, in the format it was presented in.
Far to much padding in the guise of the Presenters being late, and their eventual arrival at the venue.
Also needless history reminders...

Hi guys

Also can I get work as an electricians mate while I study for the 2365 Lv 2?
Had this email pop up in my inbox, seems the NICEIC are looking into creating a new role in a electrical business, by sounds of it one rung below QS... Not sure what responsibilities it would give them or would it be the case they can then sign off the certificates?
No doubt it will be an extra...
Just read in this Months copy of PE that NICEIC and ELECSA and JTL have combined to offer better training with regards to the up coming 18th Edition, and Electricians have until January next year to get qualified, just incase you weren't aware.

I need to get on the approved contractors scheme with the NICEIC, I’ve got all the right qualifications, however the thing that’s bothering me is the qualified supervisor role - they seem to want me to have 2 years trading, which I don’t have. Is this right? I spoke to them yesterday and...

However if you have...

Hello,
Ive got my first NICEIC Approved assessment coming up with Tim Leibe. Ive been with Elecsa in the past but decided to go for the full scope.
Just wondering what to expect, questions he may ask and if anyone has had dealings with Tim in the past?
Any help would be great.
