Changing halogens for LEDs

Ive got a client who wants to swap her existing down lights with LED downlights but when i showed her the price of them she started to change her mind... So i was wondering if i could buy the cheaper gu10 halogen dl and just change the bulbs? Could i do this off the mains or would they have...

changing halogen downlights to LED downlights

hi, ive got 39 halogen downlights to change to LED lights and i was wondering if someone could tell me if i need to use transformers for them or can i directly wire them in to the existing 1.5 wire ?
