I am currently re wiring an 11th floor apartment in central London. the apartment was last wired in the 80's. on problem is there is only one coax aerial coming from main riser outside apartment to main t.v location, nowadays I always run at least 2 or more to every t.v point especially the...
Taken a coax from my sky dish to my bedroom so i can watch free sat, ive connected it into a tv point in a stud wall, the bedroom back to back needs a tv point too for a similar freesat set up, can i just spur off my tv point or do i need a seperate leg from dish lnb ?
I'm going to use the rf out of a sky box to distribute free view plus a sky channel around a clients home.
they have added CCTV which outputs over coax, just wondering how I join this into the system aswell?
Anyone know if WEBRO BSKYB Twin 63-008A (Sky+ shotgun coax) would be any good for running a single (mono) line audio signal and a composite video source?
I want to use it in my car to run audio from head unit to amplifier and from reverse camera to head unit.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I need to rewire our Sky Box and CCTV System and I wish to use the existing conduit which currently houses five 240 volt main lines running for about 30 feet.
I'll be hoping to consolidate in this same conduit Ethernet cabling x 2, RJ-11 x 1, AV Cable x 2 and Sky Coax x 2. I am concerned...
hi, i got to install some tv sockets on ground floor and run the cable into the loft.
thats 2 floors up around 5 meters. can the coax cable share space in conduit with
feed for lighting on 1st floor? i mean if tv reception will not be affected?
another question- do you have any experience...
Went to replace a corroded socket outlet today and found that the TV coax is crammed in the same conduit as the 2.5mm spur feed cable, then passes out of the mains backbox into its own aerial point box. No way to re-route it without major upheaval for a very nice old Lady.
Thoughts please.
hello,
I have found an old TV antenna and I want to use it for my PC's TV tunner. However, the antenna has no wiring and I can't figure out how to connect the coaxial cable to the antenna. There is some box attached to antenna, inside which is some simple printed circuit (I can take a photo if...
1st fix - rewire - house has already got an aerial, owners not sure if there are going to get a dish.
Was going to put a distribution box up in the loft and wire from there - if I use SAT cable to all TV points will it still be OK for terrestrial digital?

... Is it me, or do the nail-in cable clips just not go in to the surface and just bend?
How do you attach your cables to hard-rendered outdoor walls?
Is there an alternative way? I was thinking of using Cable cleats, but am not sure on the size to get for 7mm Coax cable.
I look forward to...

Hi all,
Is coax aeriel cable effectively screened enough to run it in the same trunking as power cables ? or could you get interference on the aeriel ?
Cheers
Steve
Which is the best stripping tool for this?
Im kinda lazy and have been using a stanley knife and tail cutters to do it usually...
Have seen certain things on eBay but im still unsure. Must be for the CT100 coax...
Many thanks Tom.
Hi, I'm about to put some 1.5 3-core SWA on an outside wall for a lighting circuit. The customer wants me to run it next to all his Virgin TV Coax (about 6 cables). Will my SWA cause interference or will the steel prevent this?
Thanks
