Hello People,
Where do the Regs stand with un-accessible connections, i.e J.B's under floor boards/Buried in walls. Crimped cable, those new push fit connector blocks etc....
Any points of view would be greatly appreicated, Thanks.

Hi. This seems like a newbie question but please help.
Received the test results with an 'excessive earth loop impedance' on one final circuit. Circuit originates with a 32A MCB and serves 10 socket points. Wiring is 2x2.5mm live, 2x2.5mm cpc. Max Zs = 0.72 Ohm. r1 (line) = 1.68, rn (neutral) =...
Hi All,
Got a call today from a shaken customer- her shower caught fire while she was showering, flames up as far as the ceiling!
Shower was installed three years ago and looks like someone didnt check for tight connections on the manufacturers side of the connector blocks!
See pics!

Hi all, happy 2011 :D:D:D.

To what extent are you supposed to label earth connections?
I usually only put safety electrical connection labels on the points where the earthing is bonded, i.e. on pipes, metal work, etc.
At places like joints between tape and cable and at test points for instance I don't put labels.
I...

Hi,
I recently bought an ex display Neff Induction Hob. Unfortunately the power cable to it has been cut off and needs replacing. Is it possible to fix this? Where can I get a new cable from? Will I need a wiring diagram? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
JLO
My trusty Fluke 12 multimeter has, after 15 years of solid service, started playing up. It uses buttons to change the functions, and they are somewhat intermittent in operation. Opening up the meter it is constructed with a silicone keypad, not dissimilar to the ones found in mobile phones, and...
Hello,
The spotlights in my bathroom both have dodgy connections. They go off and I have to jiggle the bulbs to get them to come on.
So the spotlight fittings are obviously not great. The reflectors and lenses are fine, but it's just the crappy plasticy sockets that don't make good connection...
Hi just installed new Mem3 TPN board for storage heating. Suprised to find board warming although clamp test shows only 80ish amps per phase on the brown and the grey. The black is unbalanced drawing only about 35ish is this the reason? Would welcome any advice please.
Thanks
I have a pump that has basically been ripped of a folding machine, no cable, instructions, diagrams left for me. What would the two black wires normally be used for. The motor is 3 phase, and the brass links are set for star so was thinking would they be the nuetral?
Any help and suggestions welcome
