    Contactor Wiring

I am in the middle of a debate as to how to connect this contactor in the attached picture. The live feeds are going from the breakers to number 2 in each contactor (1L1 to number 2 in the first contactor, 1L2 to number 2 in the second contactor etc) and there is a neutral from the neutral bar...

Off peak immersion heating wiring query...

I've been testing some flats that have immersion heaters, 2 supplies - daytime and off peak. The off peak supply is wired from the meter through a contactor then back into the mcb, with the outgoing supply to the immersion heater coming from the contactor. However, when the mcb is isolated, the...

    'Last man out' switch

Afternoon all, I've started a job last week in a cricket club and been asked to take over from another sparks who did the first fix. Safety relay vs Plc

Righto just a quick question.. I've been informed that a safety relay must be used for your estop circuit, but why can't you just use ladder logic to create your estop circuit? Does every one use a safety relay or does anyone use only a Plc logic for your safety circuit? Thanks, Dale..
