Hi All
I’m looking into a job for a client where they have completely gutted their kitchen. Old cable hanging from ceiling you know how it is.

Hello all,
I have changed the cable on my Smeg SUK91MFA cooker as the old one was damaged.
The cable terminates into a standard 13A plug and had been fine for years. I replaced the cable like for like and replaced the original plug back on. I wired the cooker end of the cable L-N-E from left to...
Hi Folks,
Advice gratefully appreciated! Mrs T is having new induction hob (7KW) and a double oven (4.1) installed.
The existing electric hob and oven is supplied by a 10mm cable.
Is the 10mm existing cable sufficient for the new oven and hob? Assuming it is, how do I supply the two...
Hi guys, ive just run in a new circuit for a 11,5kW cooker with 6mm T & E which has a gas hob.
Q. Can I use normal grey 6mm T&E from the cooker to the outlet plate or does it need to be heat resistant cable, cause I cant find any heat resistant cable that size in the TLC catalouge?
Thanks

Also is this the correct formula to find...
Hi all, just joined, starting my Nvq soon. Was wondering if I'm correct in assuming the cooker can be on a 6mm conductor on a 30amp RCD and the hood can be on 1.5mm if it's a spur?
I'm sorry to ask this as it has probably been done to death, but I've read conflicting views.
Present electric cooker is supplied with 6mm cable and 30 amp fuse in CU. Length of cable from CU to cooker about 20 metres. No socket on cooker control unit. The cable runs under floorboards withy...
Installing a 3 phase cooker with 6kw on one phase, 6kw on the second and 3.5kw on the third. The instructions recommend using flex. In BS7671 I'm using Table 4F1A, page 292 and therefore need 6mm flex. This sounds a lot for 26.1 amps on each phase. Am I being dumb?
Also can anyone recommend...
Can anyone help...... i want to move my consumer unit about 2.5 m from its present position and was wondering if it would be ok to extend the 10mm cooker cable through a 60amp junction box, or would i have to run a new cable from the cu to the cooker?
Hello all, can someone tell me what the best cable is for connecting hobs and ovens i thought heat flex but now I'm being told sparky ive been working with today that t&e is fine
