Just getting back into the trade after a brake of some 5 yrs because of circumstances: Can I ask Is it still permiseable to connect both a hob and oven (usually manufacturers different size cables) into one outlet plate behind the oven?
Or is there a better solution now as it always seemed to...
Hi Guys,
I am just changing my plug top oven over & gas hob and noticed the following:
32AMP Breaker > 6MM Cable > Cooker Switch 45a > 4mm cable > Double Socket which powers both.
13a Plug Top Oven replacing the previous same plug top. Gas Hob and just powers the igniter.
Is this right or do...
The photo shows a cooker hob ignition switch unit from a Neff/Bosch hob. One of the switches has failed. The issue was caused I think by ingress of liquid. I have dried the unit as well as I can. A replacement unit costs over £40. Has anyone ever opened one of these to repair it? I am reluctant...

When I put the brown & blue wire in...

There is not enough 6mm cable to allow me to move it around 50cm to the left of existing position.
To avoid replacing the whole 6mm cable, one...
