That service box and its contents are similar to that found in the UK. The IP rated PVC box and MCB would not normally be there, but some electricians do fit similar items in there, although it's prohibited by regulations.
I would somewhat agree that Permali Boxes aren't necessarily fit for purpose anymore, like if moisture gets in (e.g. with a damaged door or door left open). Also with smart metering etc. nowadays there is barely enough space in them for the DSO/DNO, but obviously customer equipment shouldn't be going into them anyway (other than the main protective device above which is required to be there in the contractor's space in the bottom right).
