Recently I had a job where I had to cut a 6mm and a 2.5mm live cable and terminate into a JB. I had to strip the cable with an insulated stanly, and then separate the wires and terminate each one.
I was just wondering if there is a tool that would do this cutting job without having to separate...
Hi,
I've recently moved into a 1970s built house with stud partition dividing walls. The electrical fixtures and fittings are quite dated, so I've decided to replace all the sockets and switches and also to convert single sockets into doubles whilst I'm doing it.
Unfortunately when I came to...

I have a client who's burner keeps quitting after about 10 mins, he has an old school time clock and keeps it on 24hr but just controls it by turning the spur on and off. The stat at the burner is set to about 75 degrees. Any ideas on why it keeps cutting out? It's oil system btw.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Just wondered the best way to cut 20mm holes in plastic (adaptable boxes, some PIR's etc etc). I've done a little research and a hole saw seems best although a cone shaped drill bit might also be ok? Starrett seems to be the best but I was wondering if its worth trying to get away with...

Hi,
i realise the ilegality of cutting the security tags on meters/fuses etc, and dont expect people to identify themselves as offenders, so Hypothetically
