    evening all! when doing a pir, iv got a cooker switch above a cooker, now i know this doesn't come under bs7671 but under building regs, so my question is, what and how do i go about commenting on this? does it get a code?? cheers in advanced guys!

    Water Damage

    Just attended a job were the bath overflowed and the water went down in to the kitchen, kitchen had 6 spot lights, sockets and light switches, has anyone got any advise of what I should look out for??

    Can a voltage meter damage an RCD ?

    Today I used a Fluke voltage meter on a couple of 30mA ABB RCD 's to see if there was any voltage coming out it tripped out now it doesnt trip when testing on my megger MFT 1552. Could I have damaged them with the voltage tester ? Many thanks Danny
