Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone had fitted many of the quantum heaters with dual supply. Im looking at a job to fit a few and wondered peoples thoughts on spuring off the ring final circuit for the 24 hour supply to the heater (Rated at 1.5kw) via a fused spur? Also does anyone know if there...
Hi there folks,
I wonder if any of you have been involved in fixing any of these items ?.
I would like to know more about the linkage between the PCB's as Dimplex say you need to change both PCB's ( Power & Controller )
if one is at fault ?.
These items are costly and it's nice to try and...
Could you please explain this to me? How does it work? How can you identify if its faulty or working?
... I am talking about the sensor which has long wire and a tube in the end. Its shown in the following link:

Hi All,
I hope you are all enjoying your weekends!
Before I start, I just want to thank you for your help in advance…
To summarise, I had storage heaters installed a few weeks ago by an installer, and have experienced a few problems!
To cut a long story short, the flat I moved into used...

Got to check the elements on an old Dimplex storage heater tomorrow, it must be around 3kW. Couldn't remember how to get into the older models! I know the newer ones have 2 retaining screws on the bottom edge to release the front panel, but this old beast does not have them. Any clues?
Hope someone can help. I have a Dimplex CXLSN12 (combo storage+convection) and recently had to replace the convector switch. I must have wired it wrongly as the convection heater is now on no matter whether the which is on or not! Does anyone know the correct wiring setup on the switch?
Hi guys,
As title, does anyone have experience installing dimplex panel heaters with control by DXRXPW4 4 zone controller?
It seems the pilot wire is 230v but I'm not sure how this should be isolated. Lets say you have 6 2kw heaters all on their own MCB. If you then supply the controller via a...
Hi quick question guys,
I was called out to a storage heater not working, turned out the thermal cut off had tripped, customer doesn't dry any clothes on it and I believe this to be true, I've had to return to it again, I've cleaned it out completely to make sure it wasn't a build up of dust...
Alreet.
I always use Dimplex heaters but a customer has asked if i can have a search around for a cheaper option.
I need 1 x 3kw and 2 x 2kw panel heaters with 24h timers built in.
Can anyone recommend any cheaper brands they have used?

Hey all, just been called round to elderly customers house today as their storage heater fitted approx 18 months ago was not cutting in on Economy 7 and it's getting chilly !
stripped down and found that the safety cut out on the input control knob is tripped. I looked at it and it seems that...

i was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the dimpled quantum range. It has a dual supply one from the off and one on peak.
The installation instructions are rubbish and give little guidelines to the specific cable and mcb sizes only the unit cables are peak 1.5 and off peak...
Hi Guys, new to this forum and need some advice..
i have purchased a flat that had storage heaters fitted, these were of no use and I am replacing them with new dimplex Monterey panel heaters throughout. The question I have is to do with installation. I would like the central 4 zone controller...
Hello everyone,
This is my first post.
We have just bought a new flat, which was built in the 60s. It has some really old brown Dimplex Storage Heater units (probably made in the 80s, if not even earlier), which we would want to replace. There is also what appears to be a bimetallic...

A client has a Dimplex TRS120 oil-filled 120W electrical towel rail. The element has packed up and before it's replaced I wanted to check whether the 120W element could simply be replaced with a higher wattage one, e.g. 175W (TR8404), as listed in the Dimplex spares brochure, a couple of lines...

I recently bought an apartment with 2 Duo Heaters 500i and 300i. Got 2 EPX panel heaters in the bedroms. No central control system. Im finding that the running costs for the Duo Heaters quite high and that they are not heating the room 25sqm enough when i get home in the evenings. I have tried...
My parents have got storage rads and a few don't work properly, despite the knob being on the lowest setting they pump out maximum heat. What is the part that has failed and where can I get them from?
Would it be cost effective to replace all of the rads as they are really old? I'm not sure if...
Hi, 2 out of 3 of our storage heaters have started playing up, with similar issues. Come midnight, when the off peak supply kicks in, the heaters start clicking continuously - almost like its a Relay not being able to make its mind up. Anyone any idea why it's doing this? The second problem is...
Hi,
I've recently bought a flat and have done away with the old storage heaters that were fitted. I was pretty set on replacing these with Dimplex Duo Heat storage heaters and the panel heaters to match until the electrician came round last night and suggested Rointe ones. Its a top floor flat...
