I have been to look at some down lights in a basement flat that are not working. There is a mixture of MR16 lv lights and GU10,some of the fittings are fire rated approx 10 of them and another 12 that are not. There is a shop above the flat with another flat above that.

Customers that have a large house with downlights throughout are not too pleased when you give them a four figure quote to rip out the lot......

I have just priced up to install a load of commercial style round LED downlights (18w) in a clubhouse. I have allowed for non-dimmable and a couple of emergency fittings. After saying at the quotation stage that they didn't want dimmable they now want to know the how much it would cost...
Does anybody here have issues with changing 12V lamps to GU10 LED lamps in the same fitting?
Obviously involves taking out the transformer, changing the lamp holder and putting the fitting back.
I only ask because:
a) The tin cans usually have a label that says 12V
b) The tin cans are not...
