Hi all
I discussed a similar situation in a previous thread but the topic keeps popping up with testing jobs that I seem to be attracting at the moment.I got offered a job carrying out EICR's for the MOD and the rate of pay was by the property?? In other words, if I don't knock out 4 or 5 a...

Evening all,
I'm reading up for 2395, when doing EICR'S and IR tests, when removing neons, lamps and sensitive equipment are things like electric showers, water heaters ect classed as sensitive. Do most people remove all these items or prefer to connect L+N together and test to earth at 250V...
Hello all,
just wondered what you do when you come across circuits on a EICR that are not labelled and you can't trace them?
I do this:
where you have 'extent of installation covered by this report'
I put - 'as per circuit schedule'
in the circuit schedule I note down 'Unasble to Trace'...
Hi. I was wandering if anybody could advise me on whether or not EICR's need to be registered once completed or if (as I've been told) as they are only a report, you just give a copy to whoever is ordering the work aswell as keeping your own copy.

Hi,
I'm looking for some advice. I had a phone call today from a company asking me whether I'd be interested in performing some EICR's for them which they supply to the public. I am aware that someone considered a 'competent' person can perform these but what is the minimum qualification that...
Been asked to do a few EICR's recently and just wondered how other guys go about doing certain things....
How much do you charge? Per circuit, for the report etc....
How much time (roughly) do you spend on each circuit?
I've not done 2391 or equivalent but am considering it, does this course go...
Hi Guys,
Just been to do a Condition report on a 30 year old installation. Both lighting circuits are wired in twin stranded steel cable with no CPC. The insulation test is good, but with the lack of CPC, and brass accessories, would you consider this as 'Satisfactory'. No RCD on lighting...

Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers.

I currently use EasyCert Professional and it's been great but today I've used the EICR for the first time.
