Was at a job this week working in the loft fitting new downlighters to bathroom below. Loft is ultimately going to be boarded over. I used a Hager downlight JB at each fitting. Because of the loft insulation and as I had access above, it would have been ideal to fix the JBs to the joists...
Hi Guys and Gals,
Do any of you lot use "Check a Trade" as a business tool.
They have approached me to schedule a meeting and I was wondering if they are any good.
From what they say they only advertise Accredited Tradespeople and they vet the companies they list.
If they are any good is it...

Thanks in...
Hi All,
Does everyone mark up their materials?
If so by how much?
A set percentage on all items?
Pick & choose items you mark up?
Customers can get a lot of stuff now the same as us so being still very fresh to pricing our own jobs was just wondering how to gauge things?
Cheers
Bazza had shingles. Those of us who spend much time in a doctor's office should appreciate this! Doesn't it seem more and more that doctors are running their practices like an assembly line?
Here's what happened to Bazza:
Bazza walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what...
Hi all,
Just deciding what option to go for, it's for a 3phase supply to a large house.

I'm sure I'm not the first to hear of this but for those who haven't:
I was contacted by a man selling advertisement space in a magazine claiming to be affiliated with the Emergency services, the spiel was that they would advertise you exclusively as a trade ie the only Electrician listed, in...

My baxi 105e will happily run then stop with flame failure light. The actual problem is that the igniter is not working. I have discovered that when it trips out and after I have reset it and allowed it to run through its start up sequence it will still not produce a...
So called accreditation bodies
They are all a scam not official bodies and all can be scammed to get in, they are only interested in income. (And who can get the biggest share)
Look at the money they have in reserve.
