    Emergency light checks - Essential work?

    I have cancelled all my jobs, but I conduct monthly light checks on blocks of flats, so I am planning on still doing them because I don't have to be inside peoples homes or near them (at least 2 metre separation). Would others also consider emergency light checks to be essential works?

    Garage unit essential for a power supply?

    Hi. I recentley had an electrician fit a power supply to my garage. The SWA goes straight into a metal double socket, rather than a CU. The supply does come from the house CU with a 32A MCB on. Does this comply with the regs., please?
