I have a customer that is keen to purchase the extra warranty for his SMA inverter. I had been told in the past it is not worth it as;
1. It is likely that the inverter will last more than the standard 5 year period supplied
2. The cost of replacing an inverter in the future will come...
Morning all.
I've been doing minor domestic work for a few years now and have a pretty good customer base. I will be ding my 2330 level 3 and 17th later this year and then on to NVQ so I can offer a full electrical service.
I would want to gain more experience with 'major' domestic works...
What tests do you do on a minor works job?? I know some certs ask for different ones but my main question is if it asks for zs and the job is an extra light or something extra off a lighting circuit then do you leave zs as it will all be live??

I've wired a few phone sockets up before and I want to add an extra socket from the master socket. There is already one other socket coming from the master socket so is it ok to add another from there?

Iv been workin on a job and noticed that on the ring in each of the rooms all the sockets for the computers are wired in 4mm twin but there is also another 2.5 earth pulled round all the sockets too so there is obv 4 earths at each socket, do you knw why this is?
