i attended a customer with a reported faulty bathroom fan. It was the timer variety with a three pin connection.
I checked the pins and found there to be 240v present so i determined that the fan must be shot. 30mins later i get back with the new fan and connect up but it did not...

I am fitting a window mounted bathroom extract fan and I am wondering how best to fuse it down to a sfcu.
I am coming off the bathroom light, just wondered how to fuse down the switched and permanent lives, are there such things as 3 pole sfcu's, or do you guys do it another way...

Hi, do extract fans need to now be on a fused spur aswell as a fan isolator, Iv always just wired straight from lights to isolator but am now being told you wire to a spur with 3 amp fuse then isolator then obv fan

do any of you know of a good extract fan and a temperture stat that i can fit. will be fitting so if gets to hot in cupboard were computer hub is fan will come on. also does anybody have a wiring diagram for this

does anyone know if what im saying is correct, if a bathroom or anywhere that needs an extract fan has natural light the fan does not need to switch on with the light, if the room has no natural light the fan HAS to activate with the light. i cant remember but was having a convo with another...

Been looking at an Extract Fan which will only turn on by the pull switch on the actual fan. However, the customer would like the extract fan to come on when the light is switched on, then remain on for a period of time once the light has been switched off.
