Hi, just got a bit of a shock this morning, turns out my Megger has failed calibration and needs to go back to Megger for a "fixed price" repair charge of £426.24 (inc VAT) and that's before it gets re calibrated!!

Had a RCD fail the 180 deg test today. Works ok if I just do the 1x test, get 6.4 ms, on 5x get 25 ms but if I do the auto test on me megger it fails the 180deg 1x test. I'm presuming its U/S any thoughts guys thanks in advance.

Just been to do a Condition report on a 30 year old installation. Both lighting circuits are wired in twin stranded steel cable with no CPC. The insulation test is good, but with the lack of CPC, and brass accessories, would you consider this as 'Satisfactory'. No RCD on lighting...
