    Multiple feeds into 2G 2Way light switch

    Today I picked up a 2nd fix job as previous sparky unable to finish and I was a little confused at what I saw. In the Kitchen there was double switch but with 4 cables coming through the socket. Lucky for me they were labled "feed" "feed to Light" "2Way1" & "2way2" now this is a bit confusing...

    When NOT to take neutrals to switches

    This is a 2 way 2 gang dimmer switch, which has feed in/out, and 2 switched lives and neutrals. So 4 neutrals blocked in a connector block, which was then put behind the switch as there was no room inside (only a 25 mm back box used), and the feeds had to blocked as 'the installer' could not get...

    Radio link smoke alarms

    Hi Guys Got a loft conversion going on soon, i would like to fit radio link alarms on ground,1st and loft level..prob is, all 3 floors are on a different lighting circuit, Is this ok to connect from three different feeds ? or as i suspect , they should all come off the same circuit ?     PVC trunking behind cooker??

    Consumer Units in flats with 2 electrical feeds

    Hi, I have been asked to replace a fuse box with a new consumer unit. I visited the flat today and found that it has 2 separate fuse boxes and 2 separate feeds (possibly on different tariffs). Do I need to fit 2 separate consumer units ?

    when testing parallel feeds (say 2x4c70mm) do you have to separately test each cable or test them both connected together as this is the way they will be used yours benji
