hi , any one know the name of any free test certs sites? I know of the IET site, but I would like to fill the certs out electronically. I did part download one a fair bit back but lost the web page. It was neat and simple to follow I think the site began with the letter C. Thanks

Pluck the other cores from the center of the braid, leave the earth in, strip insulation from end of earth, twist together with SY screen and boot lace ferrule together. Perfecto. Less than 5 minutes work and a lovely neat job IMO.

I am looking for a PIR sensor for outdoor lighting control but it needs to have a voltage free relay output - ideally it needs to be animal immune/ tolerant and have adjustable range.
Not worried about timer, Lux or dusk/dawn as it will be feeding into a CBUS lighting system via a bus...

Currently I have a gas hob and electric oven which are both built in. Unfortunately, I have had to disconnect the gas hob because there is a gas leak and the gas connection is illegal as it uses a flexible hose and apparently for built in gas appliance it needs a solid copper pipe...
im really struggling to get my head around this volt free contacts etc :(. i think im thinking too hard into it, is there any other really easy explanation to explain what it exactly means, as in for say a boiler or that?? please
Could somebody expalin why this " volt free contacts inside this electric boiler says volt free" but when the two cores leave from the zone valves will that not be 240 volts on those connections in the boiler??
