I'm about to replace the consumer unit in an existing domestic installation.
Can anyone point me to the correct rules in the 17th edition which advise on how regularly the installation should be inspected. I have to write it into the Installation Certificate and can't find the answer in either...

I was looking at my own CCU in my rented flat and there's a NICEIC sticker on it recommending that the next PIR should be done in 12 months time, not in 5 years, presumably the sparks judgement call based on the condition of my flat.
does anyone know how much weight this 12 month...
do the 2d high frequency work well with pir?
I know the old magnetic ballast type didn't

I'm considering buying a used petrol generator but there seems to be some confusion as to what the output frequency is, 50 or 60 Hz.
Is there any way of finding out the output frequency of a generator?
If it did turn out to be 60 Hz, could it be changed to 50 Hz, and if so, what needs to be...
