Any ideas anyone please.
A while back I bought one of these little torches; New Mini Gas Torch Shrink Tubing Heat Gun Tool W37 | eBay. Not from this seller I must add. Apparently, you just insert a click type cigarette lighter. But I can't for the life of me to get it to work. Anyone know how or has one?
It is great to be able to bring good news to the forum.

Quick note to say to anyone using twitter, there's a campaign today by the STA to get Greg Barker to listen to the industry on the RHI.
Unfortunately I can't post a link, but basically, if you have twitter, retweet the link on the #tweetforheat post on the @NarecDE twitter.
Thanks everyone!
Dont know if we can either discuss this here or there's a separate section for this but I'm pretty interested in the above, even though its not all signed and sealed till Spring 2014

I have to do an install using trunking which I have nebr used before, I understand there had to be 45% free space inside for heat travel.

As I said I have never used trunking before so it is new to me.
Hi,
Could someone please advise me on what size (diameter?) of heat shrink is best to go over the red, blue and yellow insulated crimps for use when extending 1, 1.5, 2.5 & 6mm T&E? Also what size heatshrink would you put over the lot to cover the 3 staggered crimps, inner cables and...

Have been asked to look at a smoking shelter in a pub garden. There are 2 Dimplex heat lamps on the wall, run from two spurs, off the ring. Not on Timer switch .
The lamps keep blowing in the space of a week.
Anyone got any ideas, other than the smokers having to stand in the cold! :)
Can anyone recommend good quality, taking into account value for money, mains powered smoke, CO and heat alarms? How about the Kidde stocked by TLC (see here), any good, or are there better?
Hi, I'm mike, I was reading this forum and others, but i get confused because someone say that more resistance means more heat, others say that less resistance means more heat and others say that it depends on the amps. So i get confused.
