this is my first post so go easy on me. A frien of mine owns a bar and he has some issues with his electrics. where the DJ stand is there is a switch for a small strobe light. when he turns it on and off and cuts the music out momentarily. what could this be?

I have just rewired intercoms on a block of flats. When you pick the handsets up you can hear the calling tone ever so slightly in the background. The call buttons are not being pressed it's just a constant tone.
