hi to all does many of you have a jib technician card and if so are they worth while.i see on jib website they require City & Guilds of London Institute Electrical Installation Work Part III as a requirement does any1 know what course this is
thanks
mk
I have a friend that's been working in the industry for ten+ years but never went to college? he has been told he can get a NVQL3 and a jib gold card without doing his 2330 l2+l3? surely this cant be right?
Whats the deal with the ''time served'' thing now with the jib?
Any thoughts on whether or not it's worth obtaining. I'm signed up for the NVQ3 so obviously I can go down that road, I have looked on the site, just be nice to know who is, who isn't and why?
I have got 17th edition, NVQ 3, 2360 part 1 and failed 1 exam on part 2, never had chance to retake which I regret! But from this can I apply for a JIB card and if so what grade will I get? Been a spark for 9 years never had the need to get a JIB until now all ways had a CSCS.
Thanks

A question for the Scottish Sparks on here does my SJIB Recognised 17th Edition Inspection & Testing (BS7671) 2009 allow me to test, inspect and sign off certification on an installation?
Do I need to finish electrical intallation level2 and then level3 or it is enough only level3, if I want to get JIB electrician grade. The collage accepted to take me straight in to level3. Thanks for information.

Evening girls and guys,
My quesion is when you get your card renewed, do you send certified ceritificate copies or just
standard photo copies. I had this three times that JIB insisted on certified copies. This meant going
to a solicitor who charged £15.- per copy. So, threecertificates, the...
