Hi ive lost my mains lead from my metrel instaltest would i be able to use my kewtech r2 plug in place of by plugging in the other leads to do my Zs tripping times etc at sockets when testing
Had a interesting scenario crop up this week when was asked if it was ok to take a new 10mm equipotential wire from gas pipe to outside earth stake onto a new earth clamp below the existing 16mm earth conductor clamp rather than go all the way back to the MET. If not ok can someone suggest a...

Had quite a bit of fault finding recently and this would have come in handy:
Megger - ETL30 and ETL50
Dont fancy making my own one up, And I do like the Megger stuff so happy to spend a few quid as it going to last a while.
Just done a quick google found the 30m one for £45...

at a house today the owner wanted extra sockets in garage. at the db the garage supply was a 2.5 t+e up to an iso switch and down into floor but i pops out in the garage in steel tube. so i pop the 1st socket off to find 1.5 mm two core lead cable with cpc soldered to the lead. the wires in the...
Hi
I have a megger 1553.
Was wondering if anyone has made their own wander leads up?
If so any info on cable csa or type of cable you purchased etc.
I have seen adaptors that you can use a standard extension reel with so not sure what route to take?
Could you more experienced testers explain your working methods for the use of the three variants of leads used with a Multifunction tester ?
As I understand it to be GS38 compliant they have to be 500mA fused but this makes them unsuitable for loop testing as this adds a large resistance to...
Would you recommend buying a ready-made reel such as the ETL30 or should I get some green-sleeved single? If so, what csa should it be, can you buy a 30m reel of single, or is 50m a better length? And would the single come on a suitable/usable reel?
Evenin all,
I've lost the croc clip off the end of my 50m megger wander lead. I think it's a 4mm clip but with a pretty short shroud. Anyone have any idea where I can get a replacement clip on its own?
Have done this thread with pics this time
Has anyone come across an RCBO with no earth fly lead?
It was in a new commercial installation and installed on a merlin gerin pan assembly
How long have these been out, any ideas?
Check out the photos and can anyone say what make it is ...

Hello people
I have recently purchased a Kewtech KT64 for a really good price as the earth lead and earth croc clip are missing. I have seen complete sets on the net but was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy just the earth lead/croc clip?? The code for the leads is ACC064
Thanks in...
Anyone know where i can get hold a wander lead preferably without spending a fortune? also i'm after a fluke clamp meter that can read mA's for earth leakage, has to be fluke cos i want to keep my testers all the same make, cheers:D
Hi i was just wondering if it was possible to put the end of a kettle lead onto a figure 8 power lead? I moved into a property which has the cables going through the wall for the tv. My tv does not take the figure of 8 lead but the kettle lead.
Thanks for any replys.
Has anyone used or is using this adapter to convert their extension lead into an r2 test lead.
MPElectrical.net
If so, do they which MFT are they using. Only reason for asking, is that my Megger 1552 doesn't seem to have the correct lead to use it and was hoping one of you kind gents could...
Hi
I want to set up some speakers in our bathroom. I intend to use computer style speakers (15v, 1.1A) powered by a mains adapter with music supplied by battery operated MP3 player. My plan was to plug in the adapter in the loft and lead the low voltage cable through a duct into the bathroom. I...
