Can anyone tell me how I could have from my dead test results for a lighting circuit obtained a value of R1+R2 which is greater than my live test Measured earth fault loop impedance for the same circuit.
According to the equation Zs= Ze +( R1+R2) that should be impossible.
Any help...
Afternoon all.
Re-doing my calculations for a hot tub supply after client upgraded the specs.
Details are: Hot tub rated at 16A. Supplier advises to use Type C breaker to handle inrush when pump starts. 26m from CU to Hot tub via rotary isolator switch.
I was proposing to use a 20A Type C...
Not too sure what to read into this!!
New installl in my garage and doing initial testing
Socket Circuit ( radial )
R1 + R2 = 0.03 ohms using link method in CU
R1 + R2 = 0.03 ohms measured Line and CPC individually ( done this just to double check )
R1 + R2 = 0.07 ohms - of SWA from CU in...
hi everyone
i have a question on a shower circuit the ccu is a crabtree sb6000 type,tn-c-s system,100a main switch split load 6 way 4 protected by 80a 30mA rcd with shower 40a,cooker 32a not used,32a sockets for all house,16a old immersion circuit now used to supply 3 pir 500w...
Sorry to bring up an old post but im confused.
I have carried out tests on a kitchen ring final wired in 2.5mm/1.5mm T&E, results as follows:
r1=0.36 rn=0.34 r2=0.59
I then joined leg 1 of line conductor to leg 2 of cpc and leg 2 of line conductor to leg 1 of cpc and measured the R1+R2 at...
A friend of a friend called me up last thing today, he'd brought new switches for his bedrooms and attempted to connect them up him self !!!.. He made me laugh when he rang, he was worrying like it was the end of the world. Ha ha.. He didnt know what he was buying as he'd brought intermediates...
On another issue how do test the loop impedance at a fixed appliance or a light, to fulfill the measured loop impedance column requirement on the schedule of tests. will the calc R1 + R2 suffice?
