4kW installation 200 metres away

On a PIR test to confirm Zs values i obviously go to thr BRB page 48.But when do i use the rule of thumb i.e 80% Method ?. I understand there are differences between a cold install to one that is in service as resistance changes when cables are warmer. On previous posts i have noted to qualify...- just add water sparks

Move ccu over 3 metres
I have a situation where i have to move the ccu more than 3 metres, i know i need to intall a new main fuse switch between the distributors cutout and ccu i would just like to know the distances either side and the wiring set up either side.- danielph

Help. Any way to measure the length of a self regulating trace heating cable?
Here's the problem. We have a self regulating trace heating tape installed on a piping process line where we need to know the length of the tape. The tape was estimated to be 10 metres (approx 32.8 feet). However the guys who installed it have reported that they have installed 19 metres...- xwhitemousex

I have read in the regulations that a ring circuit can cover a floor space of 100 square metres. I am re-wiring a bungalow at the moment and the floor space is 88 square metres. I am using 2.5mm stranded singles and 1.5 mm earth. I am feeding the singles down the existing conduit in the walls... -

150w work light
Hello. I have a work light, very similar to the one in the picture below. It is a 230v 150w halogen light but the cable is only 2 metres long. If I replace the cable with 2.5 flex, how long can I have it, would realy like it about 20-30 metres, is this ok? Thanks- wallyanker

Digital & pointer metres leads extention?
Just wondering if anyone knows were to get an Leads extentions for a metre? What am looking for is the Teeth/Crocodile you put on the end of your leads. They don't come with metre's anymore well I can't seem to get one :( Anyone know any place's I could get these? Local Stores, Sites etc...- Mikeymike77
