All fluorescent lights in this house (230V) are connected "1 switch - 1 light". So I have no where to get inspiration how to connect second fluorescent light.
Could I do this?

Hi Guys,

I have in LED light which has stopped working. It's well-travelled, made in China, bought in Azerbaijan and installed in the UK.
I assume the problem is with the LED driver, picture included. Made by Guo Xin, model GX-F36x1W for which an internet search reveals...nothing!
So how do I find a...
I have been meeting with solar system installers to install a grid-tied system at my house. Before I commit I want to verify whether I need to upgrade my main service panel.
I have been reading about the 120% rule and am not sure if my current main service panel is sufficient. Any assistance...

How would everyone feel about a 240Y system in a building with everything connected Line-Line?
I personally like (want) this system. No TN-C, TN-C-S vs TN-S debate. No earthing/bonding debates of how to keep the neutrals separate in a multi source or generator system. No fire or shock risk...
Would like your opinions on the following setup. 300A 3 phase TT incoming supply feeding 15 units with 50A TNS obviously some link somewhere between Neutral and earth but haven't found it yet. I would think that each unit should be TT not TNS thoughts please
Hello Everyone,
I am from India. Things were good [seemed to be good] with temporary electric connection [single phase, 230v] to our new house. Now when we are organizing electrical wiring, dividing phases, installing ELCB, the problem started occuring.
Now the electricity connection is of 3...
I'm sorry if my question is a bit basic but this part is not in my field. Can somebody tell me how do I do to wire a 9/24 triple switch circuit? Thank´s a lot!!!
Hi,
I want to build for my son that loves football a panel to hang on our garden wall.
Whenever he hits the panel with his ball, a light should turn up.
I saw this an amusement park, where there was a wall of panels and the target panel was changing.
What I need is something more simple, not...
I tried to put in a smart switch, which should be simple enough but when I took the plate off I was surprised at what I saw.
There are two lights controlled by the switch, but still single pole switch. The feed wire is three way with one hot going to one light and the other hot going to the...
Hi guys,
Starting to get some itchy feet here in the UK and thinking that maybe it's time to move abroad with the family.
Not entirely set on a place. I like the look of Australia, Canada, Cyprus or maybe one of the canary islands.
Question is.. Can any of you point me in the right...
I purchased an Ecosmart 8 Instantaneous hot water system from Amazon and its really made for the North American market. The wiring says it need two active wires to make up 240 volt and no Neutral, Customer support have also told us this, however in Australia we have one red active wire and a...
Hi everyone,
I rented out an outdoor space for a party and they brought a DJ. Unfortunately there was a water pipe that burst and showered the entire party as well as the DJ stand (just my luck).
The DJ is now telling me that all of his equipment is fried, laptops, TV, disk players...
Putting in a new garage sub panel, but none of the wires pulled to the garage were marked. There are three #8 wires, 2 hot and a neutral. The hots are on a 2 pole breaker. If I turn the breaker on and test for voltage, the neutral should not be hot. My question is, can I remove one of the...
Can anyway identify the board and MCBs from the pictures? This installation is in a house in Tanzania - the actual installation has a much bigger 3 phase version in another house which I am helping to fix. These old boards used to be imported from China until about 2010. They are no longer...
Hello!
I am setting up a smart home system and will need a neutral wire for the application. Some of the existing switches to be replaced only have 2 wires. I believe I will need to run my own neutral line through the existing conduit. I have done so before and just used a stiff wire with...
Hi people, I recently moved to Mauritius which has a UK 3-pin plug system, however the vast majority of appliances on the market are imported from Europe and therefore have European 2 pin plugs on them. As a result everyone here runs all their appliances on block plug adaptors and extension...
