I was called to a customer's today who'd had a spark in last week who left her with a danger notice (she wanted me to quote for the remedial work). The notice said that the danger was a 16th edition consumer unit which needed upgrading (nothing wrong with it, just 16th ed instead of 17th)...
There are strict laws around working with electricity for obvious reasons. Very little can be carried out by DIYers even if classed as competent, and what is carried out......

Hello all. I'm going to install a 110v heater tape in a motor to help protect the windings from dampness. I'll fit a warning notice to the terminal cover "DANGER ISOLATE HEATER SUPPLY BEFORE REMOVING COVER".

NEVER mess with electricity!
Electricity is fascinating and useful—but it can also be incredibly dangerous. The electricity that flows from power plants travels at thousands of times higher voltages than the electricity in our homes. If you are stupid enough to touch...
Doing a CU change, but have already spotted that there is a borrowed neutral between the two lighting circuits with both being fed by the same MCB. The job is in a flat and there is only a single light in the entrance hall on one of the circuits. The customer wants a straightforward swop and...

Where do you guys buy your labels from for things such as Consumer unit ( Color code stickers, periodic test date stickers, etc) and also need a notice for attaching to the lock for locking off. Does it have to say a sertain phrase or will WARNING - Electrician At Work Do Not Remove! be ok?
Cheers
