Before we got in there, there was just one storage heater in the lounge. He asked for one in each room, obviously...

The builder left me with a thick cable coming from...

Hello, are there any helpful sparks out there who will answer a question for me? I want to put a 2 way CU into a garage for lighting and a few 13amp sockets but I also want a 32 amp socket for occasional use of a welder. I'm doing the first fix myself as I have the ceilings down anyway.

Hi all,
What do people do about providing warranties for the roofing work?
The products are covered by the manufacturers warranty. NIC-EIC provide a warranty against non- conformance to regs, but I'm not sure what sort of warranty we can provide for the actual installation
I wouldn't recommend globe lamps or any other enclosed vertically aligned batten style of light for that matter.
With the bulb's metal parts just above the bulb and its wiring terminations just above its metal parts, there's a clear fast track for heat to be channeled up towards the wires...

Hi,
I have 2.5mm tw+e on a ring which has now been heavily insulated. (After the wiring work unfortunately) It is not really an option to rewire in 4mm back to the CU, or sufficiantly extract enough of the wires above the insulation. It serves two bedrooms (5 doubles apiece), currently with a...
