Some of you may be interested in one of my projects. I have nearly finished a themed room at my home and we have used some vintage switchgear as part of the decoration, I just need to finish off the skirting board. The next stage is to wire up the semaphores so that they operate...
Hi all
We've had some works done in our kitchen which has involved fitting a new cooker circuit, installing some downlights to replace ceiling roses, and adding a couple of sockets via a spur. The approach is that the fitter does it and then the work is signed off (yes I know I should have used...
Hi all,
while working on the bonding task of the L2 G&G I assumed the supplementary bonding CPC should be 4mm2 due to the table in the OSG -(p.51. size of protective conductor = 16mm2)
However another student said the MET is an exposed conductive part so the CPC should be 6mm2 - even though...
Hello everyone,
I hope nobody minds that my first post is a question. We have a bit of a situation brewing at home with regards to our new shower room. We had an electrician scheduled to come as part of the bathroom installation, but he had to give backword. As the electrics are now holding...

This part is from a Mercedes prefuse box. I checked it for continuity by checking the two yellow marked wings and got close to zero. The part has a four prongs plug as well. What can I check to see whether the part works or not<<

Hi all, looking for some advice, ive got my 236 Parts 1 & 2, AM1, 18th Edition, Testing & Inspection, how do i go about registering for Part P, being able to provide test certificates etc? Thanks, Tony.
A customer rearranged some kitchen units, exposing a copper section of the main waterpipe. It's just over a foot long(rest of house is Qualpex). However it's unbondedI carried out an Fli test and it maxed out. I next carried out an IR test and got a, reading of 7000 ohms. A little high for a...
