Hi, is there anyone within the Liverpool area selling any 2nd hand tools / power tools?
Had my tools robbed on the 22nd October. Work has cancelled jobs because I don’t have the tools to do the job.
Or if anyone is even willing to donate any I would be more than grateful!
Bit embarrassing...
I’m in two minds whether to change my current 18v Dewalt SDS/Combi/Impact. I currently work in the Fire and Security industry. Mainly doing Alarms and CCTV.
I rarely use the Impact, the Combi is okay when it works and the SDS is good. But I’ve found that when I need to put up say a PIR and the...
I’ve been working as an Adult Trainee for just under a year now. I’ve bought some 18v Milwaukee Drills and SDS and a Combi Drill. We mainly work in Fire and Security and I was considering selling it and maybe buying some 12v gear as using an 18v SDS to put up a bell box is a right pain. Due to...
I have cancelled my Amazon Prime membership and will no longer be using them to buy tools or anything else online.
I would like recommendations for a tool supplier, ideally UK based, that has a wide selection of products. Maybe someone with a loyalty scheme to incentivise repeat custom?

I'd always been a Makita kinda guy but i must say i'm not impressed whatsoever by their recent stuff, from about 2016 onwards. The chucks on the cordless drills are absolutely dreadful and the battery life leaves a lot to be desired.
They used to be my go-to but all i can assume is they've...
I am looking to slowly start investing in some quality power tools and wondering which tools I should start with? Keen to hear which brand/model is deemed superior to others and why, although i'm sure there will be a range of opinions on this topic. I assume sticking with one brand makes sense...
looking for a bit of guidance on this one.
i was helping a mate fit a kitchen on a site and there was a visit from health and safety normally he works in domestic all the time so all the tools are 230v not 110v. So as he normally works domestic so using 110v is a pain he is a bit like me with...
I'm looking for a device that can plug in line with a 16 a extension cable that will control the speed of brush motors on power tools, up to a 2000 w angle grinder. I have seen PCB units on eBay but I'm not sure which one would be suitable. It would be ideal if it could be switched between 240...
Hi, would like to know your opinions of the quality of branded power tool (Dewalt, Makita, ect) from the big sheds. The reason I ask is because years ago it was often mentioned that the various tools sold from sheds are fitted with cheaper parts that have a limited life span. I bought a...
Hi all,
I am completing my self assessment and need to know where I should claim for cost of power and hand tools, are they classed as a capital allowance? If so these are my options, and my guess would be that it goes under 'other'
Thanks

What's everyone's opinion on FatMax power tools?
Had loads of Stanley hand tools, both standard and Fatmax and have never been disappointed, but never used their power tools.
I'm looking to buy a new jigsaw and been checking out the usual suspects, DeWalt, Bosch etc, but spotted a Stanley in...
Hello all,
Due to the fact I only work as a subbie for wages (as a mate) I need to purchase my own hand tools, power tools and so on from my wages.
I've noticed the Ryobi range of One+ Li-Ions and they do seem to have good reviews on the sites that sell them.
Just wondering if anyone here has...
