Called out because the Honeywell digital timer(does ch & hot water)
blew up!! They've recently had a new combo boiler fitted.. Which is temporarily connected to
a supply but the timer etc has been left disconnected!!
Plumber thought there may be a faulty/damaged cable, But no breakers/RCD...
Been asked to fit a wireless programmer/stat for a combi boiler. In the past I have used Danfoss, but are there any better/ more cost effective makes anyone would recommend?
hi all, having an issue at work where the heating wont turn off. wiring is all ok and been tested, the stat is switching fine although it is reading 24v at the switched live at the stat when its turned down which im thinking is a backfeed from the boiler of some kind.
Have replaced a few stats...

I am trying to add a back boiler programmer in my house
There are five wires coming form the boiler
1 x earth
1 x Neutral
3 x Live
Could anyone enlighten me as to why 3 lives?

So have been called out to change a Potterton EP2000 programmer for a Horstmann C27, nothing strange in that you think.
When I removed the EP2000 there are telephone cables from certain points, Neutrals, Earths and possibly switched lives, which appear at the other end in the airing...
