I’m replacing an old 100mm extractor fan in the kitchen with a new one. The old one was a pull cord fan whereas I bought a timer one (no pull cord) thinking I could use the isolator switch (which is directly below the fan) as the on/off switch.
The cabling is a 3 core and on the new fan there’s...
Basically as title, but can anyone recommend a good one. So far not seen a good one that I like, fitted a few for customers where you have to attach the chain to the normal string which is rubbish. It's for my own bathroom I want a chrome ceiling fitting and chrome chain as the strings just get...
A cable specification is like below.
-below-
LBR: Pull <=1KV(350-600)(SC)(Non-Armor)
What does LBR mean? and What does Pull mean?
And why in the US are AWG and kcmil mixed?
Under the condition of 350-600, which size cable should I buy?
hello
the old light pull switch in my bathroom has broken and no longer pulls - i have bought a new one - but it looks different inside.
is is just a case of taking the two wires from the old one and connecting them to the new one or is this something more difficult... as no doubt can be...

Hi All,
I hope you are doing well.
I keep having the issue with this pull cord switch to the power shower.
I used a number of pull cord switches 45A and 50A ones mostly from Screwfix but I think the problem is with the wiring.
As you can see on the picture the RED and BLACK twisted copper...
As per title any ideas, car just cut out dead and will not start unless I pull the 2 wire plug off the high pressure pump solenoid. I also get no reading at all on the dianostic fuel pressure check. I have 72 psi when connecting my fuel pressure gauge to the line.
Would be interested to know how people would code this:

Some like to wire from the head end to the device. Others like to do it from device to head end. What would you do if you were pulling 4 cat5e wires. The closest to the head-end being at 250', next 300', next 350', last at 450'. Would you place your wire rolls at the head-end and pull toward the...

Please the pic of my fuse box and guide how can I change the first floor fuse in this old fuse box. Note the fuse is not the pull out one. Also if you see in the pic it seems it comes out by unscrewing all the adjacent fuse which does not seem right?
Experts please guide.
I would appreciate some advice removing a bedroom pull switch from the lighting wiring.
The pull switch is quite old and has no terminal markings on it. There are three wires which I have removed from the pull switch, one red, one red with grey shield (live) and one black.
The light switch...
