Hello,
I have unscrewed the pull down cord unit of a bathroom fan. This was to fit a new cord as the other one need replacing.
I’m now unable to pull the cord to turn off the fan. I have a small coil which needs putting into the unit but I do not know where. Any help would be really appreciated!

Interested to know what other people's normal practice is for completing the "supply protective device rated current" box on the EICR form, given that we can't pull the DNO fuse. Do you trust the amperage label (60A, 80A, 100A, etc.) on the fuse carrier? Or is that in fact the maximum rating of...
Hi,
Not new to forums, but definitely new here!
I've searched the regs, and guide, long and hard and can't find anything about where a 45A pull cord can and can't be located. The shower in question will be in a DDA toilet with a wet floor, no basin.
I feel that the means of isolation should...
Hi,
My friend broke my bathroom pull cord switch and whilst fixing it, some of the wiring came out. I can't remember which way they go in.
I have a yellow wire, 2 reds and a pinkish red wire. I have a black box into which the wires fit labelled L1, L2 and comm.
I'd be very grateful for any...

Had my NICEIC assessment today, all went well.
We got onto the subject of functional switching and they agreed that a switch for the shower is not necessary. My thoughts are, in future I am thinking about crimping the cables instead of putting in a new pull switch.
Just wondering what your...
