I was wondering if anyone has joined a student membership program for networking and study support such as NICEIC? Does being a member provide you with much help with NVQ training? And do they help you to get a job with a company, or is it just for self employed electricians?
Thanks,
Zane
Hi people. I’ve got my first niceic inspection in a few weeks. Any advice on what to expect? What type of installations to show them? Any tips to get through it smoothly would be greatly welcomed.
Thanks fellas ( and girls )
I've got my annual Stroma assessment next week and the job I am taking them to is a board change. I have not fitted an SPD as by my calculations it was not a requirement (plus a tight customer would not want the extra cost)
I don't think it will be a problem but am just looking for reassurance...
Napit or Stroma?
Completed 18th edition, 2365 level 2 and 3 Pat testing four years later on. Shadowed electrician worked on commercial and domestic with Agency.

So I’ve spent well over £1000 and loads and loads of time studying for the City and Guilds 2391 exam with the NICEIC. Did the course last week and took and passed the multi choice test on the fourth day, with the practical and written test left to do. I was told when I...
I expect this bunch of blokes would not have got into as much bother if they hadnt bothered pretending to be NICEIC members and used the logo.

Good afternoon,

Anyone else had a delay joining Stroma. 5 weeks since my assessment ( passed) and nothing back from Stroma.
On contacting them I get fobbed off with “ there is a backlog “ story.
Good evening,
A burning question has arisen in my mind regarding minor works certificates.
This is, if you do some work for a customer which involves say adding some additional lights to an existing lighting circuit, as well as an outdoor light spurred and fused off of a ring main. Would you...
