Ive seen a few people using them and im wondering if its useful for the electricians. Any sparks here use them.
If you dont know what im talking about, its the screwdriver which you push and it turns by itself, if you know what i mean.
Got a set of these last week from this seller, delivered next day really nice to use excellent quality and a good price too.Bahco VDE 1000v Screwdriver Set 7pc (Formerly Irazola) | eBay

I bought one of these a few weeks ago from an online company (who will remain unnamed for the time being) and i was using as normal to test a circuit and the handle started melting.
The company have said they won't give me a refund, and will only exchange it for another one?
But before i do...
I'm looking to board out the middle of my attic and was wondering what to do about the cables. The majority of cables are placed around the edge of the attic in the eaves so are on top of the insulation and are not a problem, but there are still some down the middle for landing lights and...
Hi guys, I'm after advise on checking live wires. Do I need a circuit tester or can I use the Electricians screwdriver I have, and if so how does it work. Many thanks
Just wanted to let all of you know that until Monday you can pick up the ryobi 4v screwdriver for £15 from your local Netto store.
Not sure what use it will have but i bought one anyway!!!!
EDIT: POST TITLE IS WRONG, ITS 4v NOT 10!!!
Does anyone know if I can buy an empty case to keep screwdriver bits organised upright?? I had a Wera one which holds around 60 bits but it has just about had it and keeps opening in my bag.
I thought about just throwing them in a tub but really like to keep them organised. Any ideas?
working locally I had a problem with an overheated cut out and was unable to remove it to start work (emergency job)
so I nipped the seals of the meter to remove the tails
then dropped my screwdriver down the back of a panel !!!!!!!
luckily Maplins is over the road, walked in and they do a...
Anybody use 3.6v/7.2/9.6v screwdrivers? I've seen the 10.8v makita/Bosch things but they seem a little large and heavy to fit in my snickers pouch pockets.
I'm after something that'll do inch + 1/2 screws down to 3.5mm plate screws.
Is the 7.2v makita drill driver still the one to beat...
Hi everybody. I know Screwdrivers have been talked to death now, But I've decided I'd like the Wera. The only decision to make now is whether to go for either :

Hi
I've been looking to up grade my tool box and was told the best screwdrivers to get for electrical work were Klein - but then someone told me Irazola - then someone else said Tescos own (alright no - nobody said this but they did say why pay x amount on something which you may lose?)...
Greetings all,
My friend asked me, the other day, to have a look at her vacuum cleaner, which is a VAX model, as the wire is loose.
I unscrewed all the screws to the plastic base, but was unable to gain access to the motor, where the flex is connected.
There are several screws which im...
There has been lots of talk of which brand is best, but I just wondered what are the actual sizes that people find most usefull day in day out.
Slotted in 3mm and 3.5mm..... are they both necessary? Half a mm seems a very small difference.
Are there any that people should avoid completely...
Hi I am hoping for some advice and to see if anyone is aware of this issue.
I was using a mains 240volt mains tester screwdriver ( the clear type, no battery, you just put your finger on the end cap to see if the screwdriver lights up, indicating 240v present). I was getting an indication on...
Anyone else got one of those free Screwdrivers from Elecsa? Not being rude as it was a free gift but man its crap. Absolutly useless. Havnt found a single screw head that it works on yet. Anyone else?
Went in CEF in Launceston today and on the counter was this fancy electrical screwdriver kit in quite a small metal tin. There was about ten types and because there was only one handle they took up very little space. The handle clicked onto the screwdriver shaft with a very convincing click. It...
