Good morning I'm after a new battery operated SDS drill.
I currently have a Bosch SDS hammer drill 240v that I bought 10-15 years ago for home use, however after being in Electrical vehicle engineering, I'm now doing L3 Electrical Installation and realised I'm going to need a battery SDS. I...
So back in the early around year 2000, I was a data networks installer and had a Bosch 24v SDS drill, it was awesome, did pretty everything I could though at it, from using 25mm bits through 40cm of concrete wall etc being in my hand all day while putting up trunking etc, then adding the chuck...
I can't find a previous thread on this topic, so here goes.
There is one sort of house-brick that I dread encountering in my area - they are known as Ruabon Reds and they are extremely hard and unforgiving. After working a lot on two houses with these bricks the same week I've blunted almost...
I’m selling a Hilti TE4-A22 SDS on behalf of a family member. It comes with a 4.0 battery and charger. In excellent condition. Bought about 2 years ago but never used. In brand new condition. Collection from Liverpool or buyer pays postage. He’s asking £500 ono.
As above, SDS drill sparking and intermittently down on power. Sparking between brushes and commutator.
Brushes and springs seem ok, but have quite a curved surface at point of contact. Loads of meat left on brushes.
Will changing brushes fix it or is it dead?!
Hi guys. Bought a Bosch 18v SDS in Feb 21. I haven’t abused it at all, it’s in mint condition still really. Still have battery, box and charger but unfortunately the chuck has given up on me today and won’t lock in a drill bit. I purchased it from screwfix, anyone had any experiences similar and...
I thought I would list my Dewalt set on here. To see if I get any interest. It’s around 6 months old but I’m looking to buy another brand. Collection only from Liverpool. I’m looking for £450.

Been using my sds hammer drill last weekend drilling a core hole. just a milwaukee cordless one
Had a few issues with the core bit - jammed now and again, was a bit of a pig

Hi Sparkies, newbie here needing some advice please
My 1100W SDS hammer drill sometimes starts, sometimes dead. So far fault diagnosis (loose connections, voltage and continuity checks) has ruled out switch, commutator and rotor armature windings. My suspicion has fallen on either the brushes...
Anyone know the difference between the Makita BHR 242 and DHR 242. Theyre both brushless and both 18v. I dont know they look the same drill to me, can you put the dust extractor one one and not the other ? Thanks
I’m looking to buy some long thin SDS Bits. One of the lads from work has one. It’s an odd size 6.5mm in diameter but it’s almost a meter long. Anyone any idea where I could buy one as he said he can’t remember where he purchased it from. As I don’t like the idea if using a 20/25mm bit for...

Anyone know ?
