    Wagos and ferrules

Has anybody used a ferrule in a push fit wagos? I need to cut into a ring circuit to make a spur using singles (in conduit) but only have push fit wagos no good for flex as we know. I don't want to make a special trip in the morning and £20 on a box of latching wagos that I probably won't use...

    Advantages/disadvantages/reasons to use PVC singles

What are the reasons for using PVC singles in say a commercial installation such as a workshop that would use metal trunking/conduit as the containment, why not use twin and earth? All I've got so far is, 'because that's just what you do', but I'm not sure that's an adequate answer! Cheers

Fire resistant clips and singles in trunking

Current job involves running singles in plastic trunking and conduit. Am fitting fire resistant clips over escape routes but am not too happy using these clips over the singles without any kind of protection against chaffing/cutting into the 'single' insulation. I have been wrapping the metal...

Singles in PVC conduit, all insulated accessories, do you need a CPC??

Only reason I can see is if accessories might be changed to those with metallic enclosures in the future and then you'd need to pull a CPC in which would be a big hassle? No sockets, just lights which are supplied with 2 core flex, Ansell 50w led floods.....linked by PVC conduit, fully enclosed...

    t&e and singles

Is there anything wrong with having t&e mixed with singles on a ring circuit? For example a kitchen ring with conduit linking everything. The 2 legs coming from the garage would be t&e as they will be clipped to joists. But as everything in the kitchen will be conduit it would be easier to pull...

    Flexy singles to iec60502 (6381y)

Anybody know much about said cable? Was recommended to me a few days ago as an alternative for larger tails on 3 phase supplies. Apparently due to the construction of the cable it dissipates the heat a lot better giving it a higher CCC value meaning smaller overall Csa. Does anyone have...
