    Advantages/disadvantages/reasons to use PVC singles

    What are the reasons for using PVC singles in say a commercial installation such as a workshop that would use metal trunking/conduit as the containment, why not use twin and earth? All I've got so far is, 'because that's just what you do', but I'm not sure that's an adequate answer! Cheers

    Only reason I can see is if accessories might be changed to those with metallic enclosures in the future and then you'd need to pull a CPC in which would be a big hassle? No sockets, just lights which are supplied with 2 core flex, Ansell 50w led floods.....linked by PVC conduit, fully enclosed...

    I'm working in an office block and am wiring the shower rooms. I have 20 lights switched by 2 pirs. I'm just wondering would it work okay if I looped the switch wire out of the first Pir through all my lights and end it at the second Pir. Or do I need a direct link from Pir to Pir. Thanks
