Hi,
Similar'ish question to my other thread but little more info now so a different approach but sorry if duplication.
UK, single phase.
Just had 3.6kw (4.6wk panels) Solis grid tie inverter, no batteries, installed.
This inverter just shows solar output. Can get via App & Solis cloud but...
Hi,
Really just for info. not a problem or anything.
(to be honest also wanting to be sure it is taking from solar as much as possible & can you be sure of that?)
I assume the new solar meter is actually what is being drawn from the array so is an accurate indications of that.
Grid tied 4kw...
Hi guys/gals
Directing this question at you that have transitioned already from sparky to pv insatller. I have my first pv install after getting so many queries since the energy price rise and looking to get one under my belt. I want to go in properly and that it is being installed to a high...
Hi all,
I hope you can help me please. I had solar system installed nearly 2 months ago and my installer turned out to be cowboy despite having all necessary certification, Which trusted trader, you name it... They were already back to take the panels off, repair the roof and install panels...
Hi there,
I'm looking for advice on getting into the solar industry. I will soon be completing my NVQ 3 and aim to get my testing and inspection certification shortly after. Once these are complete, how would I best go about getting a job in the solar industry? Are there any additional...
I have fitted iboosts to single immersion circuits before but now have a job with two cylinders.
Isit just a case that once the first output is satisfied it will just move on to the next output?
Can you decide which output to boost on the iboost?
The second tank is about 20m ish away, i seem to...
Hi.
I have a UK customer that has an agricultural building that will have a Diesel TPN generator supplying a corn dryer electrical installation.
He also wants a solar array (2kw) off grid battery backed system to supply local lights, small power, trickle charge the generator batteries (from...

Hello, hopefully ive got this right but if someone can check over my maths for me, id appreciate it. Im needing to install a new supply cable from my remote solar array and because of the distance, it needs to go underground for about 35m then into a nearby barn where it will be joined into a...
Hi, Recently I had solar panels fitted and realised how they have done it and I hope someone will be able to give me advice how bad and dangrous workmanship that is.
1. They trilled through the slate roof so hooks rest on the slates and then going into rafters. Basically slate became load...
We have solar PV panels (1.5kw) and I'm curious about fitting an immersion diverter to use any spare solar energy for heating water rather than sending it back to the grid. Before we do that, I'd like to have an idea if we have sufficient spare solar power for this purpose, if not then it's...
Hi all,
We have a 3.9Kw array (13 x Sapphire 300W Black Mono solar panels) on our roof with a Growatt 3600MTL-S mini inverter.
All good and has been working fine since installation in 2018.
However, the system does not give me a 'net' import/export value.
I've been looking for a meter (wifi...

Trying to help out one of my customers who keeps on getting the PV panels stolen from one of his business premises which has a low roof making the panels easily accessible. As I maintain the intruder alarm he is asking me for some security ideas
So the questions, are there any systems out there...
Hi everyone,
I have a quick question if I may? I'm thinking of adding a second PV system to my existing rooftop PV & battery setup.
As the parts will be second hand due to lack of FITS & poor export prices, I'd like to install as much as I can myself to save money (I've already bought the...
A friend of mine asked me to look at here PV system as she is not getting any power (and thus money) from it. First real issue is the Aurora inverter has a E031 fault which I suspect is burnt out relays, so I can probably fix that with a big iron and a couple of new relays (at last for another...
