Hello all.
Im looking into designing an installation which involves supplying a small DB in a kitchen area.

Hi. This may sound stupid, but when doing a sub main in the same building can you use one of the cores as an earth.(say 16mm 3core swa) or have to run a separate one? and the best way to terminate? ones before have be out houses had to put an earth rod in.
I'm on a rewire and am looking at running a sub main for the kitchen circuits because of the house layout it's easier do it this way. I'm running in 10mm t/e from a 50a RCBO to a main switch sub board. From this board I will have cooker 32a, A1 socket radial 32a, 6 amp lighting.
Your thoughts...
how do you work out the size of cpc supplying a sub main? and is it the same method for working out the main earthing conductor size?
cheers in advance
hi all

Hi Guys,

i have been asked to quote a pv system, the easiest board is a submain which is fed by a 16mm cable which is big enough for the pv system i want to install, but does the pv installation still work the same through a sub main, the main consumer board has no spare, and the sub main has lots of...

Hi,
I'm replacing a cu in an apartment fed from a 60a sub main and have a few questions about the testing & certs.
Ze - is that just the Ze supply side of the 60a switch fuse in this case?
Zs - (Zdb?) at the board, I take it that's just Ze (as above) + (R1+R2) as usual, which I assume I can...
