How do i go about finding out the size type of suppliers fuse/cutout without cutting their tags? is there any numbers i could ring , someone who would hold that info? Obviousley need that info to complete EIC!
One thing to come out of the current supply chaos is that we have been forced to use other suppliers, panels, inverters and fixings. So have you stumbled across any little gems you wouldn't have know about otherwise? What about real shockers?
For instance I found a really good supplier 8miles...
For the third day in a row, we have had a catastrophic failure from our suppliers. They ****ed up the delivery yesterday and to try and make up for it, they were intending to deliver the equipment this morning. It didn't turn up. So I have a customer with 15 panels lying on his back lawn.
We...
Today we have been shafted by weasel eyed ******* suppliers, who on Monday said, 'your panels are secured and will be delivered' today they said, 'what panels'?
Come the time when they have stock and are trying to dump it(which will be soon) guess what? I willtake more than a little delight in...
There have been several threads about suppliers recently, thought I'd start up a new post.
We've used several suppliers now with varying suppliers and it generally seems that the bigger the supplier the harder they are to work with but the price is more competitive.
So who goes for the...
A client wants Aleo Panels - only found one UK provider (PV Shop) in the UK. Any others?
Any feedback on them? I'm sure they're absolutely 'fine'.
(My view is that it's difficult to differentiate between panels and even harder to actually demonstrate differences in hard facts (rather than the...
Hi Guys,
New consumer here.
Just about to have a 17 panel (4KWph) PV installation and after reading a lot on here have decided to go with SANYO HIT N235SE10 panels based on the positive feedback and constricted roof space.
I live in Poole with a predominantly West facing roof but there is...
Hi all just a quick question. Understand how to carry out both tests and what the right reading ie max reading should be, but what wouLd you do if the reading you receive is to high.
Ze do you contact the electrical board?
And zs what would be the options?
Thanks once again
Chris
I'm getting annoyed with suppliers refusing to pay the first few days generation. We fill all our paperwork in on the final day on a laptop and print off everything including handover documents e.t.c. We then fill in the customers FIT application and mail it on the way home. So why do suppliers...
Hi all, just beginning the solar pv journey . Have a contract in place for ten installs and looking for a reasonably priced supplier of kits preferably Schuco but any advice would be welcomed .Thanks
Hi all, I usually install B.P. which I buy in kit form (panels, roof mounting, inverter etc.). A customer has asked for
a quote using Sanyo and also using Sharp. Be obliged if you could suggest supliers, good on service and price (if both are possible). I would prefer a kit, easier for me as a...

Wonder what you guys think of testing at the suppliers KMF 80.
I am not sure it is necessary, as it cant be isolated and is still live when the cover is removed to access the terminals.
I dont like working live, but it is the origin of the supply..... a wee bit of a conflict here. How do you...
Hi, Im sure this has probablly already been posted on this forum elsewhere, however i have a question i would just like clearing up if any one can help. Looking at most domestic electrical supplies the main suppliers fuse is 100a and the main switch in the consumer unit is 63a (or less than...
