Attended call out at shop. Freezers, chillers and tills were down. Using MFT on V. measurement got 235V plugged into socket. Tested inside socket at terminals with drummond tester, nothing 0 V. Switched MFT to Loop and the neutral was missing. Just a bit puzzled why the MFT shows V. and Drummond...

Evening all..
Just got my brand new megger and am having a play.
The megger probes dont fit into my socket tester (Kewteck Kewcheck), or rather they are too short so don't reach the metal part in the tester. Does anyone know if there is a socket tester that they do fit, or are there different...

As per the title really I’m looking for a multifunction tester but unfortunately I’ve not got the funds for the Megger or Fluke.
Any recommendations under £500, second hand or new.
Thanks.

Any help is appreciated

Hey, this might seem like a silly question but I am only a trainee so please bear with me.
I've been looking at purchasing a multifunction tester, more specifically a megger 1741. The thought hit me, would if be worth waiting until after the release of the 18th edition? Im a little worried that...
hi guys
I'm looking at buying a new multifunction tester ideally the megger 1720 but don't really want to spend the cost for brand new so looking at maybe a second hand one off eBay. I have seen one for £330 with a years calibration not sure if that's reasonable or not, have any of you had good...
I have an old Metrel which is fine but would really like an MFT which can do continuity without having to keep pressing test and also has a memory and earth rod test built in, what are your best suggestions, or what do use and why do you like it?
Has anyone had any problems with the metrel mi3125?.
Mine today suddenly would not turn on ,unless the charge lead is plug in. Which makes it unusable. Is the meter broke or fixible. Have tried new batteries in it,make no difference.
Has anyone had this problem.
