hi all, just practising some testing in my garage, getting the hang of it all, ive wired up 6 lights with switches, and when im doing the insulation resistance test im getting 1000Mohms on my meter, would i be right in thinking that i write this down on the certificate as >999 ?? help me please :)

lads is there anyways you can test a ignitor in a light to see if working correctly with multimeter like a ohms reading or anything like that.???? apart from the obvious like if the lights working its ok haha. just for my own knowledge thats all . thanks

I have been asked to fit a cu at a small flat, no supply yet, but the wiring was done by someone else a few years ago and did a runner, but where does that leave me?
Obviously i haven't designed / erected the installation, so what would i put in the certs or is it better for me to walk...
Installing one new ring to cu, do you just have to do full tests on new ring , or on all circuits and board if so how far do you go for eic cert
