Does anybody think I should use a sealed unit light fitting in a toilet. There is no danger from steam in any way. Its in a supermarket and its not a public toilet.
Cheers.

Hi Guys,

Have been asked about installing a heater for a single-cubicle toilet in a basement (commercial premises). It apparently gets rather nippy in there this time of year.
Have not been to see it yet, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas on solutions for this. Either...

I'm just about to do a PIR in a shop that hasn't been tested for many years.
One thing I noticed on a walk round was an electric water heater in the toilet for hot water to the basin. No problem with that, but the switch spur was mounted right next to the sink.
Since it's not a bathroom, there...

Hi all,
Got a job tomorrow at a hotel, they have just basically said that the disabled toilet alarm in one of the rooms doesn't work. She later said that it's a 'fairly old system' and that there is only one disabled alarm, and the panel in reception 'has got its power light on'. Therefore...
I have a shower room on the ground floor at the rear of my house. The radial circuit to the shower is 10mm cable protected by a 40A MCB, due to the distance to the shower room from the CU.

Hi all,
I changed a toilet fan about 4 months ago, the fan was faulty so I replaced it like for like, I may be wrong but I thought I did not need to give a certificate under these circumstances as none of the wiring was changed.
The client has just been in touch saying they need one as they...
Hi guys,
am doing a first fix for some other sparks, and just checking if its okay to put a switch in a downstairs toilet, which is just the toilet and the sink. The switch will also be more than 300mm away from the sink basin. Thanks!
