hi,can anyone tell me the best way to do a continuity test on a two way light.is it best to do at light terminals or at the switches,if at the switch does it matter which one thanks

Two way two wire switching

We have come across an installation with only two core cable supplying both switches, the earth is not used and only common and l1 are used on both switches. Can anybody supply a diagram of the wiring of such a system?
