As you know it all happens at once, lost voltage tester, volt pen ain't working and all I've left is neon driver:hammer:
So question is any Of you seen any good deals recently. I was thinking fluke t5 or any you suggest
Hi everyone
I'm looking a buying a new voltage/continuity tester. My main work for the last couple of year has been BMS installation. Working on 24v and upto 400v systems.
I'm torn between the Fluke 323 Multimeter and the Fluke T5-600. For roughly the same price I can get the T5-1000 but like...
Hi all, possibly a stupid question, but input from professionals would be appreciated.
Im looking to buy my first voltage tester, (probably fluke) and have been looking at a few.
I understand there are ones with a self test function, or without then you buy a proving unit with it.
My thought...
Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but it seemed like a good place to find out why my voltage tester (screwdriver type) basically just exploded when I tested it on a mains voltage supply (back-box of a fused spur switch). I was trying to check whether the fused spur is part of the main loop (it looks...

I have just recently bought my first house and been trying to figure out how the house has been wired incase anything needs doing (such as putting the kitchen sockets on a separate MCB and putting spurred sockets on to the ringmain since everything is stripped back in the house like carpets etc)...
Can anyone reccomend me a Voltage Tester that is good value for money. I was looking at this Fluke T5-1000. Buy online or call or this Martindale VIPD Voltage Safety Kit - VI13700/2 and PD440 Proving unit but that wont be until I get paid at the end of next month.
cheers for any advise
Im really sorry about this question its going to seem really cowboy but i got this voltage tester i have not used yet and it says in the manual it doubles as a continuity tester.
When used on my proving unit all the voltage displays, when used on a socket i have isolated, the display on the...
Hi,
does anyone know if it's possible to buy replacement probe tip covers for the Fluke T100 range of voltage testers (the ones which limit the accessible part of the probe to 3mm)? If so, where?
Thanks.
Need a new voltage tester, been looking at the Megger TPT220, but it seems like the T5-1000 comes highly recommended.
The Megger has an RCD/FI test function that allows for the simple testing of 30mA RCDs, RCBOs and safety breakers. A test between phase and earth on a circuit protected by an...
Brand new without box. Bought a couple of months ago as I thought my Fluke T3 was about to give up and they were no longer produced, however I have since bought another Fluke T3 off eBay so this is surplus.
Never used.

Good afternoon all.
Have just acquired a new Fluke T140 voltage tester but am a bit conserned about how it’s working. First thing i noticed is that when the L2 (+) probe makes contact with either L, N or E there is a buzzer sound and the LED “Single Pole Phase Test” is illuminated. This LED...
Hi,
Looking at ordering a cheapo voltage for odd jobs around the house, what are single pole voltage indication and phase rotation test used for?:D
Thanks
I currently own a Fluke T3 which I love as a basic voltage indication device. I also own a couple of T5-1000 which I still like but am more cautious of them as they have the dial which I worry can get muck/dust in and fail so they usually only get used in a cleaner enviroment or for when I am...
Hi,
I'm currently at college doing my C&G 2330 level 2. I've brought a Fluke T120 Voltage Tester and would like to know how to use it. I know it sounds silly but can anyone suggest things to try it out on in the home along with instructions on how to do it and what i should be looking for...
